Twenty plus years of frequent travel to Scandinavia resulted in David and Karen Watts deciding to share their discoveries with others. Brimming with products and knowledge about their finds, they opened Skylark: Fine EuroDesigns, Fall 2004 in Savannah, Georgia. Their boutique specialized in the best jewelry, glass, porcelain, and designer fashions Scandinavia had to offer. Despite its warm reception both in Georgia and via their on-line store, the couple decided to return home to the Northeast. By Fall 2007, they had not only relocated their store to Rye, New York, but had also fine-tuned their collections. Concentrating now on jewelry, glass, and porcelain, they renamed their store, and Skylark Jewelry was born. Its Ole Lynggaard Gallery was the exclusive North American showcase for the creations of two of Denmark's leading master jewelry designers: Ole and Charlotte Lynggaard.  In 2009, David and Karen, once again made a decision to alter the way they offerred unique Scandinavian Jewelry.   They closed the brick and morter shop in New York and moved their products to virtual store for the pleasure of their North American Clients. By maintaining there physical presence in New York through their agent at Oliviers in Rye, Skylark Jewelry New York continues to be the exclusive representatives for Ole and Charlotte Lynggaard Copenhagen and Efva Attling Stockholm. The Lynggaards' exquisite clasps are recognized internationally as signature pieces for style-savvy women. Charlotte Lynggaard "Sweet Drop" and Sweet Spots" collections have taken jewelry design to a new level.   Efva Attling Stockholm offers unique and earthy "Beauty with a thought" designs in her silver and gold jewelry. Skylark's jewelry collections also include select pieces from Julie Sandlau Copenhagen; Horst Hild and Alicia Rodriguez of Art Form Studios, Stockholm; Anna Anderson, Stockholm and San Francisco. Each of these jewelers creates distinctive Scandinavian designs that are both steeped in rich traditon and culture.
